Anyone 55 & older can receive supportive services from the case manager and participate in wellness and learning activities. 55 North’s transportation services and home-delivered meals are only available to seniors living in East End, Hyde Park, Madisonville, Mount Lookout, Oakley, O’Bryonville, and South Norwood.
Medicare assistance by the case manager, and Ohio Senior Health Insurance Information Program (OSHIIP) counselor, to help those nearing eligibility understand their options and to help current beneficiaries make decisions during Open Enrollment.
Assistance with financial matters: Monitoring mail, helping with banking and paying bills for confused or semi-impaired people, acting as authorized representative to help people obtain and retain essential government assistance such as SNAP, Medicaid and Medicare Savings Programs.
Assessment and linkage to community services: Assistance with obtaining services necessary to maintain independent living, through explanation of programs and assistance with applications; Visitation to ensure wellness, determine need for special assistance, and to reduce isolation.
We are now providing delicious, home-delivered meals, weekly. Once it is safe, we will offer congregate meal options.
Federal funding dictates that we cannot charge for transportation but we do request donations to support the service. The donation range is $5.00-$20.00, depending on distance. Seniors 60+ can reserve a ride to a medical destination. Grocery pickup and delivery is also available.
Daily exercise classes, including yoga, strength and balance, Tai Chi, and chair exercise.

Speakers on a wide variety of topics, including health education.
Games: Card games, Scrabble, Mah Jongg and more.
Music, arts, and cultural programming.
